Background: <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT TANKER <br />By: Ryan R. Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />From the 1992, 1993 and 1994 budgets, Council has allocated $88,002 for purchase of a <br />Fire Department Tanker. Staff advertised for the tanker with the bid opening held on <br /> <br />October 29, 1993. The bids are as follows: <br /> <br />Chassis <br />Chassis <br />Chassis <br />Chassis <br /> <br />Iten Chevrolet <br /> <br />Boyer Ford Trucks <br /> <br />Lakeland Ford Truck Sales <br /> <br />Chelsey Truck Sales Inc. <br /> <br />$46,390.35 plus tax and license <br /> <br />$48,400.00 plus tax and license <br /> <br />$48,095.00 excluding tax and license <br /> <br />$72,210.00 <br /> <br />Truck & Chassis Toyne <br /> <br />$136,550.00 <br /> <br />Track General Safety $44,970.00 <br /> <br />Apparently Iten Chevrolet did not provide a bid bond. Therefore, the apparent low bidders <br />are: <br /> <br />Chassis Lakeland Ford $48,095 <br />Tank/Ins~l General Safety $44.970 <br /> $93,065 <br /> <br />Therefore, the bid was $5,063 plus any tax and license fees over budget. The Fire Board <br />is meeting on Monday, November 8, 1993, to consider these bids.
