Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g93-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANOKA AREA ICE ARENA <br />APPLICATION FOR A PREMISE PERMIT FOR LAWFUL <br />J.R.'S SALOON AND FOOD IN RAMSEY <br /> <br />ASSOCIATION <br />GAMBLING AT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka Area Ice Arena Association has applied for a premise permit for <br />gambling at J.R.'s Saloon and Food, 6141 Highway #10 N.W., Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka Area Ice Arena Association owns and operates a community ice <br />arena in Anoka; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka Area Ice Arena Association has requested Council waive the 30-day <br />notice provision; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming requires <br />the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for Anoka <br />Area Ice Arena Association to operate lawful gambling at J.R.'s Saloon and Food, 614I <br />Highway #10 N.W., Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to sign the <br />application and any other documents requ/red by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
