1998 MUNICIPAL PROGRAM TARGETS <br /> MARCH 1993 <br /> <br />As part of thc goal setting process for 1993 - 1994, St~Tf has compiled ~ generalized <br />compilation of prc~mmming targets five ($) years out. The intent is to gain Council <br />ratificauon or revision of these "targets:' so that direction is clear relative to comprehensive <br />and operational planning between now and 1998. Following is this list of targets <br />categorized in thc areas of General Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Public <br />Wor~, Public Safety, Community Development and Admmisumfion. <br /> <br />Completion of the follow/ns Gcner-al Engineering goals: <br /> <br />Benchmarks: Comprehensive updated benchmark compilation throughout <br />~¢ cornmurfiW w'ith allnlJ~aJ spot checks of 20%, <br /> <br />Mapping: Faliy implemented G!S mapping capabilities for zoning, land <br />usc, sam~, and storm sewer and water distribution. <br /> <br />Improvement Projects: Staff competency and t½rme to develop plan and <br />complete engineering and technical services of $1,000,000 improvement <br />each year. <br /> <br />Completion of the following Tm.nsportarion Engineering goals: <br /> <br />Mum; 3z] State ,kid Program: Maintain a progressive five-year MSA <br />pizamz' :g and finan~al pro,am. <br /> <br />Thorougl-ffare Development: To complete erosstown and other collector <br />components to the street inventor3' as demanded by the cirizen. D' mad <br />identified within the five-ye, ar plan. <br /> <br />Streets: Complete ongoing street maintenance program and rnMntain <br />computerized street inventor3' with permanent condition and pavement <br />management software. <br /> <br />UriiJries: Ma/ntain an update~ comprehensive five-year plan in the areas of <br />street lights, samtary sewer, storm sewer and watev~ wi~ implementation of <br />plan aspects as identified in the plan and to ma/nt~in utility enterprise <br />budgeting concurrent with the City's general fund budget process. <br /> <br />l. nm<rions: Mzint. ak~ a quatib' building insp~tions program adding to the <br />system progressive housing, septic mad fire inspections. <br /> <br />Completion of the following Public Works goal.s: <br /> <br />As~hah Streets: Complete all identified maintenance r~uests within thirty. <br /> ~..,~ of reques:; rep"adc shoulders and dishes at the rate of 10% per <br />yzaz, mow all roadsides once each year and conduct one spring and one fall <br />sweeping of each mad surface. <br /> <br />Gravel Streets: Fill ali washouts and repair soft areas and grade all road <br />surfaces weekly. <br /> <br />iii <br /> <br /> <br />
