Councilmcmber adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #93-11:~ RESOLUTION APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PLACE FOR PUBLIC SALE THE FOLLOWING TAX FORFEITED PROPERTIES: P.I.N. 27-32-25-33-0011, P.I.N. 29-32-25-13-0001, P.I.N. 23-32-25-43-0002 AND CONVEY THE FOLLOWING PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR PUBLIC USE: P.I.N. 28-32-25-44-0002 WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution providing authority under Chapter 282 of Minnesota Statutes for public sale of land situated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and WHEREAS, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized town with a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by the Council of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and WHEREAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved classification s~e if the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within ninety (90) days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing body; and WHEREAS, if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town or municipality by procedures authorized in Section 282.0I, it shall within ninety (90) days of the requested classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to withhold the parcel from public sale for one year. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves and recommends for public sale the following properties: P.I.N. 27-32-25-33-0011, P.I.N. 29-32-25-13-0001, P.I.N. 23-32-43-11- 0002. 2) That Anoka County attempt to sell the property known as P.I.N. 23-32-25-43-0002 to the owner of P.I.N. 23-32-25--43-0001 as it is an unbuildable lot. 3) That Anoka County withhold from public sale the properties known as P.I.N. 28-32-25-44- 0002 for use as open space and drainage. 4) That a certiffmd copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County.
