PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a regular meeting on <br />Tuesday, August 2, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br /> Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the regular Planning and Zoning Commission <br />meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />NOlle · <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman noted that there is not a quorum of commissioners <br />present; the scheduled public hearings may take place but no other business <br />may be conducted. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman adjourned the regular meeting at 7:40 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearings: <br /> <br />Request for conditional use permit to: 1) use land currently zoned I-1 <br />Industrial for vertical expansion of the existing landfill; 2) <br />construct and operate a ski hill and sledding recreational facility on <br />property currently zoned R-IR Residential and I-1 Industrial; 3) rough <br />grade a roadway through a DNR-designated wetland; 4) excavate, grade <br />and transport soil materials for landfill cover material; case of Waste <br />Management of Minnesota, Inc. <br /> <br />2) Request for preliminary plat approval; case of Mr. Art Raudio. <br /> <br />Request for conditional use permit to construct an electrical <br />substation; case of United Power Association. <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission/August 2, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
