recent legislative actions focusing on transportation and rail crossing safety. They each indicated <br />their support to move forward in an expeditious manner with funding to improve the Highway 10 <br />corridor and rail crossings. <br />Mayor Strommen extended the City's appreciation for their support and asked how the City can <br />assist the legislators in being strong advocates for Ramsey. <br />Representative Uglem stated Ramsey has already raised awareness of the need to address the <br />Highway 10 corridor and either transportation bill will provide Mn/DOT with enough funding. <br />He felt the first step was to conduct pre -engineering on the project. <br />Representative Scott agreed that the City's presence and continued presence will assure Highway <br />10 remains a priority. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated the northern metro area is fortunate to work as a coalition with <br />these Representatives on behalf of Ramsey as well as with the City of Anoka, Anoka County, <br />and the cities of Coon Rapids, Champlin, and Brooklyn Park. <br />Mayor Strommen concurred and noted that Senator Branden Petersen and Senator John Hoffman <br />and also been invited but were unable to attend. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br />Mayor Strommen recognized and welcomed students in the audience. <br />A student stated they are from Elk River Senior High School and attending as part of their <br />Government 12 Class. <br />4.
