Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-XXX <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING DEDICATION OF FORCEMAIN TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br />WHEREAS <br />, the City Council of the City of Ramsey is the official governing body of the <br />City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, Waste Management, Inc. entered into an agreement with the City in January, <br />1991 to construct a ground water treatment system for the landfill operated by Waste Management <br />with a forcemain to the existing City storm sewer located at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Riverdale <br />Drive; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, this agreement provided for transferring the forcemain to the City when Waste <br />Management, Inc. ceased use of the pipe; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the State of Minnesota, acting by and through the COMMISSIONER OF THE <br />MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY, acquired the assets of the Anoka Regional <br />Mixed Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Facility through a Landfill Cleanup Agreement effective <br />October 15, 1997 which included this forcemain; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey has requested transfer of the forcemain and the <br />COMMISSIONER OF THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY has prepared an <br />Agreement Regarding Dedication of Forcemain to the City of Ramsey dated July 28, 2014. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The City of Ramsey accepts dedication of the forcemain as described in the referenced documents. <br />2. The Mayor and City administrator are authorized to sign the Agreement Regarding Dedication of <br />Forcemain on behalf of the City. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th <br />day of January 2015. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-XXX <br />12 <br />Page of <br /> <br /> <br />
