What are your hopes and dreams for the Commissions? <br />1 I hope that the input from the commissions is taken seriously by the city council. <br />Sometimes it seems that the council dismisses commissioners and their input. <br />2 That the EDA and the council can work together. <br />3 For the Commissions to feel that their input is valued and heard by the Council. <br />That Council make more of an effort to attend Commission meetings on a <br />regular basis. <br />4 Better and welcone collaboration with council. Ability to provide value added <br />work that aligns with the vision/mission, meets expectations of the community. <br />5 Guide towards business and economic development <br />6 That they toil not in vain <br />7 Provide reliable recommendations for the city council to rely upon. <br />8 to stay involved. <br />9 xx <br />10 I would like to see coverage of what the Commissions are discussing in the <br />newsletter so interested citizens get a chance to show up for citizen input or to <br />just hear anything of interest to them. Just listing the meeting dates does little to <br />get the citizenry involved. <br />11 I think that the Council should return to the original venue for VOLUNTEER <br />Commissions. Making these citizens reapply for their seat every few years does <br />nothing to create a stable outcome. It POLITICIZES the commissions. <br />12 To be empowered to move the community forward in a manner that supports a <br />concise common vision. <br />13 To see everyone working together as a team. <br />14 work more closely with the council and staff to make a real difference in our city. <br />15 ar <br />16 respect -- don't say it, show it listen, consult, consider. vote as you will -- I don't <br />have the breadth of concerns that the Council does -- but vote fully aware of the <br />implications of your decisions <br />17 This is a rather broad question.
