Case #7 Discussion re_oardinq Countryside Estates Park Land Acquisition. <br /> <br />Merland Otto told the Commission that the City is looking at two parcels of land to replace the <br />outlot in Countryside Estates. The southern parcel is valued at $10,000 per acre and the <br />northern parcel is valued at $6,000 due to the fact that it is tax forfeit. Merland told the <br />Commission that the owner has one year to regain his property. <br /> <br />Sue Springer, 8872 - 175th Lane, told the Commission that the residents like the southern <br />parcel better because is has better access and is more centralized. She also told the Commission <br />that she talked to the Ramsey Lion's and they told her that they would be able to help with the <br />park equipment in the spring. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Prall to pursue both parcels of <br />land with more emphasis on the northern parcel to replace the outlot in Countryside Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Prall, Rustad, Lokker and <br />Johnson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway and Hetland. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Ken Peterson asked the Commission to discus park dedication for plats that have been divided and <br />re-divided at the next park meeting. He also asked if there was any plan to build a hill for <br />sliding in Ramsey. He also asked about the status of a tot lot in River's Bend Park. <br /> <br />Merland Otto told Mr. Peterson that a tot lot is in the budget for next year and that there was a <br />petition in favor of it.
