Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-04-094 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS AND COST ESTIMATE AND <br />AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CONNEXUS ENERGY FOR CENTER STREET <br />LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 14-24 <br />WHEREAS, on March 31, 2015, the Public Works Committee reviewed the preliminary <br />plans and cost estimate prepared by Connexus Energy for street and pedestrian facility lighting <br />improvements for Center Street between Sunwood Drive and Ramsey Parkway and <br />recommended approval of said plans contingent on incorporation of requested revisions; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 8, 2015, Connexus Energy submitted revised preliminary plans <br />and cost estimate in the amount of $48,892.18 after incorporating all of the Public Works <br />Committee requested revisions for street and pedestrian facility lighting improvements for <br />Center Street between Sunwood Drive and Ramsey Parkway; and <br />WHEREAS, Connexus Eneregy is the sole vendor available to the City of Ramsey for <br />constructing and maintaining lighting improvements for this segment of Center Street and their <br />preliminary plans and cost estimate shall be and hereby are accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Connexus Energy for the construction and maintenance of said <br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />2) The City agrees to pay Connexus Energy for all costs associated with the installation and <br />ongoing maintenance of said lighting improvements at such time that a contract has been <br />executed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION #15-04-094 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
