CASE #1: <br /> <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING PROPOSED ORDINANCE REGULATING SNOWMOBLE USE <br /> By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At its last meeting the Park and Recreation Commission reviewed a draft <br />ordinance regulating the use of snowmobiles. At that time the Commission <br />requested that the Ramsey Snowmobilers Association review the proposed <br />ordinance with their membership and report back to the Commission at the <br />February meeting. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br /> <br />Proposed ordinance <br />Survey of other communities' regulations for snowmoble use <br /> <br />In addition, the City Attorney will be at the meeting to discuss the <br />proposed ordinance with the Commission. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />At its meeting on January 26, 1988 the City Council adopted an emergency <br />ordinance regulating the use of snowmobiles. The Council adopted this <br />ordinance as a interim measure until the Park Commission completes its <br />review and recommends a comprehensive ordinance regulating the use of <br />s nowmob iles. <br /> <br />Section 110.01 of the City Code adopts by reference portions of Minnesota <br />Statutes, Section 84 regarding the operation of snowmobiles.
