DISCUSSION REGARDING 1988 PARK IMPROVEMENTS <br />By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />CASE #6: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At its last meeting the Park Commission discussed what kind of capital <br />improvements had been approved for parks in 1988. The commission requested <br />additional information and tabled further discussion on this matter until <br />its February meeting. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br /> <br />Park Commission's proposed capital improvement plan <br />Results from 1987 Ramsey Park and Recreation Survey <br /> <br />Ob servations: <br /> <br />In addition to the operating budget for parks the City Council approved the <br />following capital expenditures for park improvements. <br /> <br />$85,000 for a park facility at Central Park. <br />Adopted a capital improvement schedule for athletic facilities at <br />Central and Titterud Parks. <br />Approved technicial assistance for site preparations and <br />topographical information for park improvements in Autumn Heights <br />to be completed by residents. <br /> <br />As you can see from the surveys, it appears that several residents would <br />like for Whispering Pines Park, Peltzer Park, Titterud Park, Traprock <br />Arena, and River's Bend Park to be improved. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Will be based on your discussion. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator Chief of Police <br />Attorney ..
