<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-05-124 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />AND TEMPORARY INTERNS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />annually the City employs temporary Seasonal Public Works Maintenance <br />Workers to perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions and Interns to work in the <br />Police Department, Community Development, Administrative Services, Engineering, and Parks; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, staff has found a significant benefit to seasonal public works maintenance <br />workers and interns; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, staff selected 9 qualified entry level seasonal candidates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff selected 2 qualified semi-entry level seasonal candidates to work in <br />the newly established semi-entry level seasonal role as allowed by the 2015 - 2016 AFSCME <br />labor agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, staff selected 6 qualified student interns or graduates candidates looking for <br />experience; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />candidates passed the pre-employment screening; and <br /> all <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff recommends hiring the selected 2015 candidates. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #15-05-124 to hire the following employees: <br /> <br /> <br />A)Entry level seasonal employees: <br /> <br />a.First year: Joe Martin, Ethan Scheuring, Tim Barrett, Nick Tacheny, Daniel <br />Greer at $9.50 per hour effective on or near May 15, 2015 <br /> <br />b.Second - fourth year: Taylor Moshier, Jake Marks, Mitchell LeTourneau at <br />$9.75 per hour effective on or near May 15, 2015 <br /> <br />B)Semi-entry level seasonal employees: Sarah Wiener and Tom Marks at $16.09 per <br />hour for up to 6-months effective on or near April 1, 2015 <br /> <br />C)Interns: Oksana Carlier, Andrew Hayes, Geoffrey Solomonson, Andrew Langholz, <br />Zack Ellsworth, Austin Bloch, Logan Czech at $12.00 per hour effective on or near <br />May 15, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br />
