City Improvement Project Updates <br />• Garnet Street and 168th Avenue Reconstruction <br />o This project involves reconstructing Garnet Street between 167th Avenue and the north <br />plat line of Now & Then Estates, and 168th Avenue west of Garnet Street. <br />o Construction may begin as early as Tuesday, June 30th <br />o Access will be maintained to abutting properties throughout the project. <br />o More information on this project is available on-line at <br />www.cityoframsey.com/Reconstruction/Garnet/168Avenue. <br />• Jarvis Street Reconstruction <br />o This project involves reconstructing Jarvis Street between Highway 10 and 165th <br />Avenue, and improving the Jarvis Street railroad crossing to allow a quiet zone to be <br />established. <br />o Construction is scheduled to begin in late July / early August of 2015. <br />o More information on this project is available on-line at <br />www.cityoframsey.com/JarvisStreetlmprovements. <br />Anoka County Highway Project Updates <br />• Highway 10 & Armstrong Boulevard Interchange <br />o This Anoka County led project involves replacing the signalized at -grade intersection <br />with a grade -separated interchange and constructing a bridge over the railroad tracks. <br />o Construction began in late April and is scheduled to be substantially complete by <br />November 2015. <br />o More information on this project is available on-line at <br />www.highwaylOandarmstrong.com. <br />High Brow & The Shades at The Draw Summer Event Series Tonight- Thursday, June 25. <br />High Brow and the Shades perform at The Draw Summer Event Series tonight, Thursday, June <br />25th from 6:30 pm- 8:OOpm! The Summer Event Series will run every Thursday night through August, <br />with the Farmers Market starting on Thursday, July 16th. Attached to this Weekly <br />Update is a Full Concert Schedule and a Summer Event Series Flyer. <br />City of Ramsey Exceeds Annual Recycling Goal Again. On June 17th, the City of Ramsey was <br />recognized for the 1 consecutive year by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners for <br />meeting or exceeding its annual recycling goal. Ramsey residents recycled 2,651.12 tons of <br />material in 2014, through both the curbside program and the spring and fall recycling events. This <br />is the equivalent of 221.42 pounds recycled per person in Ramsey. Curbside recycling is provided <br />through a contract with Ace Solid Waste, Inc. for all single family and townhome residences. <br />Three apartment complexes are also serviced separately by Allied Waste Services, Walters <br />Recycling, and ACE Solid Waste. Ramsey's 2014 goal for recycling was 2,263 tons and, thanks <br />to the efforts of Ramsey residents, we achieved 117.51% of that goal! <br />Our Mission: To work together to responsibly grow our community, and to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient government services <br />
