Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved or its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-05-125 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY INC FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 14-27; MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL – RIVERDALE DRIVE TO ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD WHEREAS, on March 25th, 2014, the City Council approved proceeding with advance construction for portions of the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, on June 24th, 2014, the City Council approved continuing to proceed with advance construction of the portion of the Mississippi River Trail through the Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction project; and WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley Inc. in the amount of $183,272.52 for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted; and WHEREAS, as of May 26, 2015 $0 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to North Valley, Inc. in the amount of $2,061.41. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1)That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. for Improvement Project 14-27; Mississippi River Trail Phase 2 in the amount of $2,061.41. 2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of May 26, 2015. 4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Riley Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Williams
