<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-160 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTERIOR MATERIAL FOR A SALT STORAGE <br />STRUCTURE FOR COUNTRYSIDE SERVICES TO BE LOCATED AT 6228 HIGHWAY <br />10 NW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Countryside Services has planned to relocate its business to 6228 Highway <br />10 NW (the “Property”) to include the operation of a snow removal business with a need for salt <br />storage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Property is located within the E-1 Employment District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> a membrane structure is not specifically listed as a permissible exterior <br />material in the E-1 Employment District, but the City is allowed to approve other materials on a <br />case by case basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> theproposed membrane structure meets industry standards for this type of <br />use and the City has approved other similar requests; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the proper storage of salt material has a benefit to the City’s stormwater <br />system by preventing deposits into the system or area water bodies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City has in effect a property maintenance code to ensure the structure is <br />kept in proper maintenance and exterior condition. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the proposed exterior materials for a salt <br />storage structure to be located at 6228 Highway 10 NW. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br />
