Case #2: <br /> <br />Appointment of person/persons to committee to raise funds, matching <br />donation by Lutheran Brotherhood. <br /> <br />Mr. A1 Steinbrecher of Lutheran Brotherhood has again approached <br />the City Staff with a proposal of donating up to $13,000 to be used <br />in any of the Ramsey Parks. Again, there will have to be matching <br />funds on the part of the City in order to qualify to receive these <br />funds. <br /> <br />Two persons were appointed to serve on the fund raising committee° <br />Those members are: Marleen Looven, Representative for Park Commission <br />and Claudia Dodge, Representative for Ramsey Community School. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Lawc. on/LCMR Preliminary AppliHation <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner <br />Rustad that the Park and Recreation Commission make application for <br />Lawcon/LCMR Grant. <br /> <br />OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Chairperson Donovan stated that the city budgeted $50,000 for Capital <br />Improvements and to do a lighting study. He will go before the Council <br />and ask them to commence the study. <br /> <br />Clarification of the Community School Coordinator role was discussed. <br />Claudia Dodge stated that the Community School Secretary would attend <br />meetings and take minutes. Ail commissioners agreed. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johnson <br />to withdraw motion of January 17 that City Secretary take minutes for the <br />Park and Recreation Board. <br /> <br />Claudia offered her assistance to the board and asked for ways that she could <br />contribute to their purposes. The board asked her to attend meetings and take <br />an active part in discussions. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johnson <br />to adjourn regular meeting. Motioned carried - all yes. Meeting adjourned <br />at 7:57 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
