<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-07-182 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING CITY ADMINISTRATOR AS DEPUTY CITY CLERK IN <br />ADDITION TO THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S EXISTING DUTIES PER <br />MINNESOTA STATUTE CHAPTER 412.151 IN THE EVENT OF THE ABSENCE OF <br />THE CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk has certain statutory duties per Minnesota Statutes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />during the absence of the City Clerk, said statutory duties must still be <br />carried out by the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 412.151, in the case of the clerk’s absence <br />from the city or disability, the council may appoint a deputy clerk, if there is none, to serve <br />during such absence or disability; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, currently, the City does not have anyone appointed to the role of Deputy <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby consents to the appointment of the City Administrator to <br />serve as the Deputy City Clerk and carry out the duties and powers afforded to the City <br />Clerk per Minnesota Statutes. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
