NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />Special Joint Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council <br />meeting dated June 25, 1984. <br /> <br />2) Regular City Council meeting minutes dated June 26, 1984. <br /> <br />3) Regular City Council meeting minutes dated July 10, 1984. <br /> <br />LETTERS AND CObIMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />Letter from Mr. Peter Raatikka to Mr. Tom Oothoudt of North <br />Star Drilling. <br /> <br />Minutes from May 25, 1984 Quad Cities Recreational Board <br />Meeting held at J.R.'s Restaurant - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />PARK COmmISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Continue DiscUss±on On Central Park: <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan stated that Mr? Sorteberg contacted him regarding <br />the residents of 161st requesting that a buffer of trees be <br />planted along 161st between the residents and C~ntral Park. <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan stated that he has discussed the possibility of <br />transplanting Pine seedlings along 161st to complete the tree line <br />with Mr. Mevisson and Mr. Mevisson feels that the seedlings are <br />to young to survive transplanting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson volunteered to Councilmember Reimann and <br />nurseries in order to obtain some recommendations on types of <br />trees that should be 'planted and some cost estimates. <br /> <br />PARK COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Hetland referred to the Raudio park property that <br />Mr. Cox is developing and inquired if Mr. Cox has the right <br />to do anything he wants to with City property. <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan stated that the development of that park was <br />supposed to be done in close communication with the Ramsey Park <br />Department~ <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding how much free hand the private sector <br />should have with public property. <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan referred to White Pines park that is being <br />included in the proposed golf course and stated that he would <br />contact City Attorney Goodrich regarding a fiz~n agreement be <br />drawn up assuring that the course will be available for public use. <br /> <br />P & R/July 19, 1984 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
