PRESS RELEASE <br />Date: July 8, 2015 <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />Ramsey Officially Becomes a Minnesota Heart Safe Community <br />The City of Ramsey is proud to announce that it has <br />officially met all criteria required to become a <br />Minnesota Heart Safe Community. <br />An award presentation is scheduled for the next <br />Ramsey City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 14th at <br />7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, <br />MN 55303. Please join us in acknowledging this <br />community achievement! <br />Heart Safe -Ramsey <br />Don't Wait For the help.. <br />Be the Help!! <br />0 64 <br />CO <br />FIRST 3 LINKS - LAY RESCUER <br />Quickly Idnnlidy signs al SCA and call 911 <br />• IniII,t, HandsAnly C99 <br />• ACO Use <br />Along with the official designation, the City of Ramsey will be presented with a Heart Safe Community <br />Certificate, an official Heart Safe -Ramsey logo, and two Heart Safe road signs for recognition within the <br />community. <br />Heart Safe- Ramsey will continue to work at its mission of increasing survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest by <br />educating the public in hands -only bystander CPR and proper use of an AED. The Heart Safe- Ramsey program <br />has set a goal of training 1,400 citizens in bystander CPR and proper AED use. 572 residents have been trained <br />so far. Due to the high number of events that Heart Safe -Ramsey is involved with during the summer months, <br />the regularly scheduled monthly training sessions at the Ramsey Municipal Center have been temporarily <br />postponed.
