<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-07-174 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR 2015 <br />STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM DIVISION B, OVERLAY <br />IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #15-00 <br /> <br /> <br />th <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 10, 2015, <br />a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed bituminous <br />pavement overlay improvements to numerous public street segments within the City of <br />Ramsey as Division B of the 2015 Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant <br />work as needed; and <br /> <br />th <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 10, 2015, <br /> <br />the <br />Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for March <br />th <br />24, <br />2015 at 7 p.m., where the City Council considered the proposed improvements for said streets <br />in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />th <br />improvements as required by law and on March 24, 2015, the City Council conducted a <br />public hearing for the proposed improvements; and <br /> <br />th <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 24, 2015, <br />the City Engineer was designated as the engineer for the proposed improvements and was <br />ordered to prepare plans and specifications with reference to 2015 Street Maintenance Program <br />Division B, Overlay Improvements; Improvement Project #15-00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 9, 2015, the <br />City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for <br />said improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of <br />the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />bids were received, opened, and tabulated on July 9, 2015, and <br />the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL <br />BID <br /> <br />Hardrives, Inc $311,312.19 <br />Rum River Contracting Co. $329,868.04 <br />North Valley, Inc. $332,460.03 <br />Park Construction Company $332,516.00 <br /> <br />
