Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-157 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY INC FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 14-27; MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL — RIVERDALE <br />DRIVE TO ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, on March 25th, 2014, the City Council approved proceeding with advance <br />construction for portions of the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 24th, 2014, the City Council approved continuing to proceed with <br />advance construction of the portion of the Mississippi River Trail through the Riverdale Drive <br />Extension/Reconstruction project. <br />WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley Inc. in the amount of $183,272.52 for the construction <br />of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement <br />for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />WHEREAS, as of June 23, 2015 $2,061.41 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to North Valley, Inc. in the amount of $57,029.51. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to North Valley, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 14-27; Mississippi River Trail Phase 2 in the amount of $57,029.51. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of June 23, 2015. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-157 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
