Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-154 <br />APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO KUECHLE UNDERGROUND INC. FOR <br />RIVERDALE DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION — ARMSTRONG <br />BOULEVARD TO TRAPROCK STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #12-22 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted May 14, 2013, <br />approving Memorandum of Understanding and Easements for the Riverdale Drive Extension to <br />Traprock Street; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted May 13, 2014, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisements for bids for making the <br />Riverdale Drive improvements including concrete curb and gutter, bituminous paving, storm <br />sewer, utilities, and other necessary appurtenant work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted July 22, 2014 the <br />bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. in the amount of $2,649,722.45 for the total bid is the lowest <br />responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, as of June 23, 2015 $2,226,428.52 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. in the amount of $47,201.64. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 12-22; Riverdale Drive Improvements in the amount of $47,201.64. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of June 23, 2015. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />RESOLUTION #15-06-154 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
