PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing in regards to Street Improvement Project #82-5 for 157th <br />Lane NW was called to order on May 17, 1982 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota at 7:05 P.M. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg (arrived at 7:09 p.m.) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br /> <br />A presentation of Street Improvement Project #82-5 for 157th Lane N.W. was <br />made by City Engineer Peter Raatikka. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg arrived during Mr. Raatikka's presentation. <br /> <br />George Post - 6841 157th Lane - Inquired if any aprons will be provided to <br />the driveways. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Post that no aprons would be provided because that <br />procedure has caused too many problems in the past. <br /> <br />David Dischinger - 7020 157th Lane - Stated that the drainage ditch shown <br />on Mr. Raatikka's slide is not as it should be. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka - Informed Mr. Dischinger that the area would be re-inspected <br />and if it is wrong, it will be shifted to the low areas. <br /> <br />Frank Knight - 15739 Ramsey Blvd. - Inquired how much wider the road will be. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka - Informed Mr. Knight that basically it will follow just as it is <br />now with a 10' easement on each side for drainage. <br /> <br />Keith Noreen - 7000 157th Lane - Inquired as to cost of sealcoating. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that sealcoating runs between $200-$300 per unit. <br /> <br />Thomas Scheelk - 6750 157th Lane - Who picks up the cost of removing trees? <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that tree removal is the contractor's responsibility. <br /> <br />Mrs. Frank Knight - Are we obligated to pay our assessment over a 10 year <br />period? <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed Mrs. Knight that the assessment can be paid within 30 <br />days with no interest. <br /> <br /> Sp C/May 17, 1982 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
