PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing in regards to Street Improvement Project #82-8 for Deerwood <br />Addition was called to order on May 17, 1982 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota at 7:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br /> <br />A presentation of Street Improvement Project #82-8 for Deerwood Addition was <br />made by City Engineer Peter Raatikka. <br /> <br />Ron Ross 17540 Gibbon St. - What is meant by "Contingencies"? <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka - That amounts to a couple percent just in case there are any <br />overruns, and if there are no overruns, that dollar figure will be deleted <br />from project costs. <br /> <br />Jerry Kramer - 17660 Gibbon St. - Stated that his driveway ends more than 1' <br />from the road and would like to get that piece blacktopped at the same time <br />the road is blacktopped. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed him that he should contact the contractor awarded the <br />project. <br /> <br />Harvey Weboto - 17511 Gibbon St. - Inquired as to how this improvement project <br />came about and what he can do to stop it. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Weboto that the City received a petition from a <br />majority of the residents in Deerwood requesting blacktop. Mayor Gamec also <br />stated that the public hearing is his opportunity to voice his opinion of <br />the project. <br /> <br />Sherrie Thole - 17440 Gibbon St. - Inquired as to how the cost of blacktopping <br />Deerwood comprares to other areas in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka informed Mrs. Thole that the per/unit cost is more than other <br />areas because lots in Deerwood are larger and have a lot of frontage. <br /> <br />Harvey Weboto - 17511 Gibbon St. - How many units are being assessed in this <br />area? <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka informed Mr. Weboto that there are 22½ units. <br /> <br />Sp C/May 17, 1982 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page i <br /> <br /> <br />
