Case #2: License Renewal Of Waste Management Of Wisconsin, Inc. To Operate
Ramsey Landfill:

Council noted.

Case #3: Proposed Improvement In Central Park (Ball Park And Road):

Council reviewed letter from City Engineer Raatikka to Mr. LLoyd Schnelle dated
June 1, 1982 regarding estimated costs for proposed improvements in Central Park.

Regarding the regulation size well mentioned in the letter, Mr. Sorteberg feels
it would be better to install two smaller wells in the park.

Mayor Gamec stated that the park bond issue was defeated and now we are looking
at spending some $66,000 for ball fields, adding it to our general fund budget,
and bringing a park in through the back door.

Councilmember Reimann recalled that members of RYAA present at the last Council
Meeting claimed they could put the ball fields in for $10,000.

Mr. Raatikka stated that the greatest expense on the cost estimate is the
road and parking lot that were requested at the park site.

Council consensus is to go with a Class V road into the park, and to limit
that road to just into the park property.

Mayor Gamec stated that another major expense will be the lighting, which is
one of the main reasons for trying to get our own ballfields in Ramsey. He
also feels Ramsey should get some kind of a commitment from RYAA that they
will help with the project.

Councilmember Cox feels the cost estimate is too high for Ramsey right now.
Further, that the park should be set up step by step, such as grading this
year and lighting next year.

Council tables this matter for further investigation and requested that
Mr. Raatikka obtain more bids for the grading of the park area.

MISCELLANEOUS

Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to
adopt Resolution #82-87 ordering advertisements for bids for Ramsey Municipal
Center Lower Level driveway and parking lot, and further that said bids be
opened on July 12, 1982 at 11:00 A.M. (Please refer to resolution file for
Resolution #82-87).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adjourn the
special Council Meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Sp C/June 1, 1982
Page 2
