It was further stated that City Engineer and City Attorney should be included <br />as liaison members of this ad hoc committee. <br /> <br />Case #7: Request For Fun~in.g To Operate Swimming Pool; Case Of School District <br /> #728: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner to adopt Resolution #82-90 authorizing the <br />City to donate $500.00 to School District #728 towards operation of their <br />swimming pool. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec seconds the motion for discussion. Mayor Gamec stated that the <br />wording "for extended hours" should be included in the resolution as per <br />letter received from School District #728. (Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution #82-90). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Comprehensive Plan: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution #82-91 adopting City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan as submitted <br />by the City of Ramsey and approved by the Metropolitan Council. (Please refer <br />to resolution file for Resolution #82-91). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Reimbursement For Additional Work Time In Regards To Insurance Case <br />Pertaining To Officer David Gustafson; Case Of Police Chief Michael <br /> <br />Auspos.: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that the two choices in this matter are to <br />either pay Chief Auspos or send the money back to the insurance company. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann feels Chief Auspos should not be paid but rather receive <br />compensation time. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the City did not think they would get reimbursed, <br />Chief Auspos took the watch knowing this fact, but as it turns out the City <br />did get reimbursed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann noted that state statute directs that deparment heads <br />are not supposed to be reimbursed money-wise but rather receive compensation <br />time. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that Chief Auspos has so much comp time built up already, <br />that he would never be able to use it all, and that he feels the City should <br />pay Chief Auspos as long as the insurance company is picking up the tab. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br /> to approve of granting payment in the amount of $1,212.90 to Mr. Michael <br />Auspos, Chief of Police, for overtime work performed because the City was <br />reimbursed by the insurance company (Farmerls Insurance Group) and further, <br /> based on the City Attorney's memo dated May 23, 1982 to the City Administra- <br /> tor. <br /> <br />C/June 22, 1982 <br />Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
