Council then discussed Contingency Fund. Contingency Fund is money set aside <br />for full and part-time wages, FICA, hospitilization, workman's comp, etc. and <br />further, that a lot of questions pertaining to Contingency Fund will be <br />answered after the Personnel Meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that an employee that does well should be paid accordingly. <br />That it is more costly for the City to train new employees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox arrived. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he would prefer a little more time to review the <br />budget and it could be approved at the Regular Council Meeting scheduled for <br />September 28, 1982. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that Council should be cognizant that in 1983 the City <br />will be picking up a $9800 to $10,000 assessment for the Federal Cartridge <br />property. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he is sending a letter to County Commissioner <br />Ed Fields in regards to the irregularities in the way the matter of the <br />landfill has been handled. Councilmember Cox wanted to know if any of the <br />Councilmembers had any objections to him sending this letter on City Letter- <br />head. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that Council had no problems with that, that letters <br />from a City Official should be on City Letterhead. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox then read his proposed letter to Ed Fields aloud to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adjourn the special Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Reimann, <br />Cox and Sorteberg.
