Councilmember Cox stated that a hazardous waste landfill is more carefully
monitored than a solid waste landfill.

City Attorney Goodrich stated that he has been contacted by a Mr. Don Otter
and his company is interested in purchasing the existing landfill and the
south 80 that Anoka owns. He also stated that he and Mayor Gamec met with
City of Anoka Mayor and Attorney to discuss the existing site. City
Attorney Goodrich's opinion is to hold off any further discussions with
City of Anoka until we know if Site "P" is going to include the existing
landfill.

Mayor Gamec stated that he has requested from the City of Anoka a statement
of monies collected and interest accrued since last December 1, 1981. Mayor
Gamec also stated that as far as Don Otter's company purchasing the landfill
site goes, it would be better for Waste Management to own it considering
liabilities, etc.

City Attorney Goodrich stated that he would inform anyone who approaches
him with regards to the landfill that any action is on hold until Ramsey
knows the outcome of today's motion passed at the Anoka County Board Meeting
and Metro Council's input with regards to that motion.

Councilmember Cox requested City Attorney to find out if there will be another
meeting to work out that motion.

Councilmember Van Wagner stated that she is trying for the public hearing
to be held at Ramsey Elementary School.

Council recessed at 9:18 P.M.

Mayor Gamec called the meeting back to order at 9:38 P.M.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to adjust
the agenda so as to take care of persons waiting in the audience for quite
some time already.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, Reimann,
Sorteberg and Van Wagner.
