PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing was called to order by Councilmember Reimann regarding <br />Improvement Project #82-2, Rodeo Hills, proposed assessments at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota at 7:15 P.M. <br />on Wednesday, September 29, 1982. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann (Acting Mayor) <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Sue Van'Wagner <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka explained to the audience that the reason for conducting the <br />assessment public hearing before the completion of the project was to get <br />the assessments on the 1983 tax roles, which will save the property owners <br />one years interest. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka then gave a slide presentation of the project and the assessment <br />costs. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka informed the audience that the assessments can be paid in 30 <br />days with no interest or if it is paid by November 12, 1982, it will not <br />go on the tax roles or it can be paid off any year after this provided <br />it is done before November 15. <br /> <br />Dan Kortuem - 17711 Vanadium - Stated that there is a culvert on the north <br />side of the road that has filled up with dirt and the asphalt is caving in. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka assured him it would be repaired. <br /> <br />Dan Kortuem - Contractor poured clay and gravel along side the road and <br />never packed it and it all washed down into the ditch, am not satisfied with <br />the shoulder. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the shoulder in 'that .area will be repaired and <br />that the contractor has a one year maintenance bond with the City. <br /> <br />Mary Smith - 6241 180th Lane - We live on Lot 6 and there is no shoulder on <br />the road and the contractor left huge chunks of rock and clay. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka responded that clean-up has not been completed by contractor <br />yet, but will be. <br /> <br />Mary Smith - We were supposed to get a 1' apron to our driveway and didn't. <br />Why did some people get 7 or 8' aprons and some got no aprons. <br /> <br />Sp C/September 29, 1982 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> <br /> <br />
