MISCELLANEOUS - (Landfill) <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle referred to Resolution #82-165~ which was.adopted duri.ng Landfill <br />discussion, and stated that Council should rescind the subject resolution, <br />that Mr. Don Otter, in fact, was not aware that landfill expansion would be <br />an action item on tonight's agenda. Mr. Schnelle recommended that any action <br />be tabled until Mr. Don Otter can be present to address the issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to rescind <br />Resoolution #82-165 and further to table any action until Mr. Don Otter of <br />Waste Management can be present to address the issue. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Reimann. Voting No: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Council then returned to Case #11 - Engineering. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Feasibility Study on 155th Avenue N.W. between Ramsey Blvd. N.W. and <br />Variolite Street N.W. and Variolite STreet N,W. between 155th Avenue N.W. <br />and 161st Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution #82-164 receiving report and calling for a hearing on Con- <br />struction Project #83-1 and said hearing to be held on February 22, 1983 at <br />7:30 P.M. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #82-164) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, COuncilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c) Feasibility Study on 167th Avenue N.W. Extension West on CSAH #5 - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by COuncilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #82-~65 receiving report and calling for a hearing on construction <br />project #83-2 and said hearing to be held on February 22, 1983 at 7:40 P.M. <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #82-165) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />d) Report on Surface Water Management - <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka reviewed his letter of December 16, 1982 regarding <br />surface water management, with Council. <br /> <br />Case #12: Ramsey Second Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Connection: <br /> <br />Council noted receiving Exhibit #4 which was submitted under separate cover <br />to the agenda. Council also noted public hearing scheduled for January 6, <br />1983 regarding amendment to the Metro Council Water Resource Development Guide <br />System plan dealing with sewage treatment and handling. <br /> <br />Case #13: Hazardous Waste: <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner recommended 'including in the proposed resolution <br />the fact that there would be no emergency exit in Ramsey if there were a <br />hazardous waste derailment. Mayor Gamec stated that another consideration <br />would be that Ramsey does not have it's own fire protection and further, <br />incorporation sewer capacity. <br /> <br />C/December 21, 1982 <br /> Page 14 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
