Councilmember Van Wagner stated that Blaine and Fridley have adopted <br />hazardous waste ordinances that make it illegal to have a hazardous waste <br />facility located within ½ mile of any residents. <br /> <br />Brenda Bauerkemper stated that she has copies of ordinances adopted by <br />other cities that she will make available to the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />authorizing City Attorney ko prepare an ordinance regarding location of <br />hazardous waste facilities with respect to residential areas, and that <br />this ordinance be submitted to Council for adoption at the regular Council <br />meeting scheduled for November 22, 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the Ramsey senior citizens organiation, Ramsey Hot <br />Shots, have selected a king and queen.. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />send a letter of congratulations to the king and queen of the Ramsey Hot <br />Shot Seniors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adjourn the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
