Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to reject all bids on well and i.r~gation equipment. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that the City is going in the back door to <br />get Central Park developed, that a park bond failed and now Council is <br />looking at spending $100,000 for an irrigation system for that park. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:43 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting back to order at 9:04 p.m. <br /> <br />council continued with case #10.a. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />table Case #10.a: Receiving And Accepting Bid Proposal On Well And <br />Irrigation Equipment. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />b) Authorizin~ Final Payment On Gradin~ At Central Park To Forest Lake <br /> Contracting: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution #83-172 authorizing the final payment to Forest Lake <br />Contracting for grading at Central Park Construction Project #83-17. <br />Further, that the City Engineer withold 5% of that payment until the <br />lower areas have been graded to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />(Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-172). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c) Street Surfacin~ Acceptance Of Barthel's Rum River Acres Second Addition - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to approve of accepting street maintenance bond for a four year period of <br />time over the streets in Barthel's Rum River Acres Second Addition to <br />guarantee against any breakage. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Adoption Of Ordinance Re~ardin~ RamseS Airport Commission: <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that Council is also supposed to appoint the <br />initial Chairperson of a. commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle replied that the members of the Airport Commission elected a <br />Chairperson already. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner inquired as to how many studies the City will be <br />performing regarding the airport. <br /> <br />C/September 27, 1983 <br /> Page 14 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
