PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing regarding assessments for Sealcoating Improvement Project <br />#83-12, Rum Acres Estates I & II, was called to order by Acting Mayor Reimann <br />at 7:43 p.m. on Tuesday, September ].3, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka gave a slide presentation of project costs. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that 'there is a new driveway accessing onto the <br />east end of Juniper Ridge Drive and wondered if they would be included in the <br />assessments. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the parcel was not scheduled for assessment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that the owner of the parcel accesses onto and <br />has an address on 153rd and they are renting a separate dwelling on the property <br />that accesses onto Juniper Ridge and has an address on Juniper Ridge. <br /> <br />City Building Official noted that Juniper Ridge is included in the MSA system <br />inquired as to why it was being assessed out. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied that Juniper Ridge is not a thoroughfare at <br />this point. <br /> <br />Ed Klemish - Inquired as to how Council can consider assessing the property <br />owner for two units because he has two driveways. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann replied Council can consider it if it is a case of two <br />driveways that serve two different dwelling with two different addresses. <br /> <br />Mr. Klemish agreed that if two different addresses and dwellings are involved, <br />then the property should receive two assessments. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Sp C/September 13, 1983 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
