Case #6: 1984 C~mmunit~ School Requested Budget: <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that he would rather table this case until <br />Mr. Marc Hadley can be present to answer some questions. Councilmember <br />Reimann noted that in the past there were discussion to the effect that the <br />Community School Program would be more self-supporting and the 1984 budget <br />is an increase over last year. Councilmember Reimann stated that he does <br />not feel the City of Ramsey and it's taxpayers should have to pay for a <br />program that benefits so few. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that if it wasn't for ~he..Community School Program the <br />City would not be doing anything for it's children other than RYAA. He <br />further commented that the Community School Program really fills a void. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann noted that the City does fund RYAA and there is a lot <br />more participation in RYAA. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg agreed that this issue needs review, that the budget <br />for the Community School Program started at $5000 and now it's up to $27,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />table the Community School's requested budget in 1984 in the total amount of <br />$27,475.until Mr. Marc Hadley can be present to answer questions Coun~cil <br />might have. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #11: fRgquest To Move In A Mobile Home As A Temporary Residence; Case Of <br /> Mr. Michael Sivula: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that mobile homes used as temporary residences in the City <br />have been a real burden; there have been three or four cases that have been <br />nothing but grief. <br /> <br />Mr. Sivula stated that his approval from FHA should take about another two weeks <br />and the builder has stated that the house will be ready for occupancy 45 days <br />after the basement is completed. Mr. Sivula further commented that he has sold <br />his present residence in Blaine and must vacate that property by September 11, <br />1983. Mr. Sivula stated that he understands that there is a $300 bond required <br />and a 90 day limit on move-in trailers. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to ~' <br />grant a 90 day permit to Mr. Michael Sivula to move in a mobile home on his <br />Ramsey property as a temporary residence and that this approval is contingent <br />upon Mr. Sivula meeting the requirements of City ordinance and City Building <br />Official. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br />Case #2: Previous Metes And Bounds Subdivision For Lot 2, Block 2, Whispering <br /> <br />Pines Estates Plat 4 Regarding Mr. John Fitzgerald: <br /> <br />Mr. John Fitzgerald was present and stated that in 1978 a variance was granted <br />to subdivide this property into two buildable lots. Mr. Fitzgerald stated that <br />the language, as approved by Council, to divide this property into two equal <br /> <br />C/August 23, 1983 <br /> Page 12 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
