MISCELLANEOUS

Councilmember Reimann stated with regard'to the Dickenson Lines issue, the
who truth should be brought out by the newspapers, that Princeton's offer
to Dickenson was not a freeby and Princeton had these funds set aside to
help businesses get started in their community.

Case ~4: Zoning Enforcement (Vehicles And Wood Piles, Etc.):

Mayor Gamec noted that there are 3 or 4 major violators in RamSey.

City Attorney Goodrich informed Council of the legal process that would be
involved: gather information, have the complaint signed by a neighbor or
City, go to court, court will probably allow party 30 days to clean up,
if the party does not comply it goes back to court for enforcement which
could be a sentence or a fine.

Council consensus is to start legal proceedings against major violators of
Ramsey Zoning ordinance.

Case #5: Legal Items:

B. Site P:

City Attorney Goodrich presented potential configurations for Site P
and stated that the County would like input from Ramsey on these.

Mr. Goodrich stated that the County is considering meeting with lot
owners in Peltzer Addition, Block 6, Lots 1 and 2 and maybe 6, regarding
whether or not they want to be included in the buffer zone. The results
of this meeting will be brought back to Ramsey City Council for review
and then Council can adopt a resolution endorsing a configuration.

County Commissioner Haas was present and stated that these potential
configurations are in response to Ramsey's request to pull Site P.
Ms. Haas requested from Council some indication as to whether or not
this idea has some appeal.

Mayor Gamec stated that he would prefer that the landfill be completed
and over with, but as of right now this seems like a workable plan.
He also commented that if Ramsey doesn't start considering some of
the positives and proceeding to endorse an alternate, Ramsey could
be stuck with a site three times bigger.

Councilmember Van Wagner stated that of all the plans she has seen so
far this seems to be the best and that she thinks it is just great that
the County is contacting the three affected homeowners and any decision
she makes will be based on the input from these three homeowners.

MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT

Councilmember Schlueter stated that she has received calls regarding the
Dickenson Lines issue and that she herself is just not clear on what actually
happened and why Ramsey couldn't accomodate Dickenson and suggested that a
article be published in the Union to clear up some of the questions.

Sp C/August 11, 1983
