PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, July 26, <br />1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec (arrived at 8:00 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Larry Koshak, Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Acting Mayor, Councilmember Reimann called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that Mr. Jack Menkveld could not be present <br />to accept his letter of appreciation from the City of Ramsey and that the <br />letter and plaque would be forwarded to Mr. Menkveld's residenCe. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Howard Becker - 4861 Ambassador Blvd. - Bethel - Requested a variance for <br />zero lot line to build a commercial building for Dickenson Lines. <br /> <br />Council placed Dickenson Lines on the agenda as Case ~13 of Council Old <br />Business. <br /> <br />John Beissel - Stated that the Ramsey Youth Association has won three trophies <br />this summer and they would like the trophies permanently displayed at Ramsey <br />Municipal Center. Mr. Beissel suggested that a trophy case be installed at <br />Ramsey Municipal Center and that the Youth Association would even be willing <br />to do so. <br /> <br />Council placed Trophy Case for Ramsey Municipal Center as Case ~15 of Council <br />New Business. <br /> <br />Terry Petro - 6140 157th Lane NW - Stated that he would like to address the <br />subject of contract mowing of weeds on private property. <br /> <br />Council informed Mr. Petro that that subject is already on the agenda as <br />Case #9 of Council New Business and that he could provide his input at that <br />time. <br /> <br />C/July 26, 1983 <br /> Page 1 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
