Councilmember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-07-186 APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO KUECHLE UNDERGROUND INC. FOR RIVERDALE DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION – ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD TO TRAPROCK STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #12-22 WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted May 14, 2013, approving Memorandum of Understanding and Easements for the Riverdale Drive Extension to Traprock Street; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted May 13, 2014, accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisements for bids for making the Riverdale Drive improvements including concrete curb and gutter, bituminous paving, storm sewer, utilities, and other necessary appurtenant work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted July 22, 2014 the bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. in the amount of $2,649,722.45 for the total bid is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, as of July 28, 2015 $2,273,630.16 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. in the amount of $329,064.99. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. for Improvement Project 12-22; Riverdale Drive Improvements in the amount of $329,064.99. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of July 28, 2015. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
