Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-08-204 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL <br />WHEREAS, there are currently two vacancies in the Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to fill the vacancies in order to meet <br />the strategic goals of the city by hiring one part-time Fire Technician and one fulltime <br />Lead Police Records Technician; and <br />WHEREAS, staff conducted a recruitment process; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is <br />recommending that Ms. Ann Marie Busak be hired as the City's new part-time Fire <br />Technician, effective on or near August 26, 2015, at $18.64 per hour, which is step 1 of <br />the 2015 wage scale; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is <br />recommending that Ms. Jemma Peterson be hired as the City's new full-time Lead Police <br />Records Technician, effective on or near August 26, 2015, at $22.13 per hour, which is <br />step 3 of the 2015 wage scale; and <br />WHEREAS, both candidates will be subject to a 6 -month probationary period <br />and all other personnel policies will apply normally. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #15-08-204 to: <br />1. To hire Ms. Ann Marie Busak as the City's new part-time Fire Technician, effective <br />on or near August 26, 2015, at $18.64 per hour, which is step 1 of the 2015 wage <br />scale; and <br />2. To hire Ms. Jemma Peterson as the City's new full-time Lead Police Records <br />Technician, effective on or near August 26, 2015, at $22.13 per hour, which is step 3 <br />of the 2015 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
