Table 6 - Funding sources for stormwater infrastructure <br />Program Point Source Implementation Grant Program, <br />Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development <br />Objective <br />Provide grants to local units of government to assist with the cost of <br />wastewater or stormwater projects. Projects should befocused on water <br />quality. <br />Applicant Cities, counties, townships, sanitary districts. Must be on the MPCA's <br />Project Priority List (PPL). <br />Uses <br />Build, repair and improve public wastewater or stormwater systems. <br />Must address an issue involving the total maximum daily load (TMDL) of <br />identified pollutants. <br />Population <br />No cap or minimum. <br />Terms/ <br />Conditions <br />Provides grants for up to 50% of eligible costs up to $3 million. <br />Website <br />http://www.mn.gov/deed/government/public-facilities/funds-programs/ <br />poi nt-sou rce-g rants.js p <br />Program Projects and Practices, <br />Board of Water and Soil Resources <br />Objective <br />Provide grants for on -the -ground projects and practices that will protect <br />or restore water quality in lakes, rivers or streams, or will protect <br />groundwater or drinking water. Must be consistent with approved state <br />or local water management document or plan. <br />Applicant <br />Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Watershed Districts, Watershed <br />Management Organizations, Counties, Cities, and joint powers board of <br />these organizations. <br />Uses <br />Eligible activities can consist of structural practices and projects, non- <br />structural practices and measures, project support, and grant <br />management and reporting. <br />Population No cap or minimum. <br />Terms/ <br />Conditions <br />Requires minimum 25% nonstate match.
