Community development block grants <br />The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, under the <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides <br />cities with federal funding to initiate and continue a diverse array of <br />housing and community development projects. <br />B. Rural development grants <br />A variety of grants and loans to encourage economic development are <br />available to cities from the U. S. Department of Agriculture, rural <br />development program. Sewer, water, rural enterprise, housing, and other <br />types of grants and loans are available. <br />VI. How this chapter applies to home rule <br />charter cities <br />All of the tools this chapter lists are available to charter cities.
