Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-03-081 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COUNTY ROAD 116 CORRIDOR STUDY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been the lead agency along with the City of Anoka, and Anoka <br />County in the preparation of the County Road 116 Corridor Study, Final Report, dated February 2004; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this study will provide a guide for the future development of this vital transportation <br />corridor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this study assesses both transportation and access issues associated along the corridor; and <br /> <br /> WHERAS, this City acknowledges that the vision contained within this study represents the ideal for <br />the corridor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City also acknowledges that some of the access closures proposed with the study's <br />ideal vision may have significant difficulties for implementation, as acknowledged by the study. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City of Ramsey does hereby adopt and endorse the County Road 116 Corridor Study; and <br /> <br />A copy of this resolution be appended to the document as a final Appendix along with the <br />authorization of the City of Anoka, and Anoka County; and <br /> <br />The City agrees with the ideal concept of the study's access closures but reserves the authority to <br />review all access closures as individual projects are proposed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br /> 04-03-081 <br />Page 2 Of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
