Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #04-03-081 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COUNTY ROAD 116 CORRIDOR STUDY WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been the lead agency along with the City of Anoka, and Anoka County in the preparation of the County Road 116 Corridor Study, Final Report, dated February 2004; and WHEREAS, this study will provide a guide for the future development of this vital transportation corridor; and WHEREAS, this study assesses both transportation and access issues associated along the corridor; and WHERAS, this City acknowledges that the vision contained within this study represents the ideal for the corridor; and WHEREAS, the City also acknowledges that some of the access closures proposed with the study's ideal vision may have significant difficulties for implementation, as acknowledged by the study. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The City of Ramsey does hereby adopt and endorse the County Road 116 Corridor Study; and A copy of this resolution be appended to the document as a final Appendix along with the authorization of the City of Anoka, and Anoka County; and The City agrees with the ideal concept of the study's access closures but reserves the authority to review all access closures as individual projects are proposed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Cook Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Pearson Councilmember Strommen and the following voted against the same: none 04-03-081 Page 2 Of 2
