Present were Mr° Schneider,
Chairman, Mr. Holasek and the Town Clerk o£ the Grow Town
Board and their attorney, Mr. Beene.

Mr. Schneider called the meeting to order and oUtlined the pur-
pose of this meeting which was to discuss the boundary line be-
tween Ramsey and Grow Townships, whether it should be the present
boundary or whether it should be moved west to the Rum River. Mr.
Cox pointed out that moving the boundary line west would mean that
Grow would gain apprOximately two sections of land on the east
side of the Rum River and Ramaey .would gain less than a quarter

section on the west side of the. river. Mr. Cox read the minutes
of a combined meeting between Grow _~_~d RamseY Townships on last

September 20, 1973 at ~hich time a resolution was drawn up by
the two ?ownsh!"ps agreeing on the present .boundary line between
the two Townships, Mr. Beene stated that this resolution had not
been signed by the Grow Town Board.

Mr. Beene stated Mr. Kaibel had directed Mr. Goodrich and himself
to draw up the findings. He said Mr. Kaibel preferred the Rum
River be the boundary. Because of this factor a hearing was
necessary. Mr. Eaibel stated his reasons were services, such
as police, fire, se~er and road maintenance.

It is preferrable to have an agreement between the two Townships
prior to the hearing on June loth. Both Townships would like to
have the incorporation signed as soon as possible.

Discussion on having another meeting at which we would have a
public hearing so people living in the area in question could
come to express their views. It was decided to put a notice in
the Union about having a public hearing at this same hall on May
30, 197A and invite people who were unable to attend to write in
their opinions to either Township.

Ba__meey Township requested Grow Township for some type of a reso-
lution to help block off a road to stop field parties near Roanoke
Street and the Rum River. This is on the west side of the Rum
River. We will forward a legal description to Grow TownshiP.

Ramsey Township asked Grow ToWnship if they would be interested
in going together on renting some heavy road equipment in the

future,

In a month or so, Mr. Cox thinks it would be a good idea for the
two Boards to get together to discuss their problems and exchange
ideas.

Mr. Nelson moved the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Mr. Hola-
sek. Meeting adjourned at 10:10 p.m. after motion was carried.
Res pec t~f~t~submi tt ed,
