Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-08-200 <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING MR WAYNE JEFFREY FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE <br />TO THE COMMUNITY AND AS A BUSINESS OWNER WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY <br />WHEREAS, Wayne Jeffrey has retired after serving as a pharmacist in the City of Ramsey <br />for 35 years; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Jeffrey was a Ramsey business owner for over 26 years where he grew <br />a patient base of 25,000 and grew a business that employed several people; and <br />WHEREAS, over the years as a business owner, Wayne Jeffrey sponsored/supported <br />many Ramsey Youth Athletic Association sports groups; and <br />WHEREAS, customers and fellow pharmacists alike call Mr. Jeffrey compassionate, <br />trusted, professional, caring, and one who went "above and beyond" when it came to service to his <br />patients/customers; and <br />WHEREAS, Wayne Jeffrey is being honored as well for his humanitarian roles such as <br />medical mission trips to Guatemala and mission trips to the Red Lake Indian Reservation in <br />Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, Wayne is not retiring from his humanitarian roles or his role as friend in the <br />community. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Ramsey herby publicly recognizes and honors Wayne <br />Jeffrey for his years of service to the area and his accomplishments as a business owner in <br />the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
