communicated to all contractors and sub -contractors on the project. <br />A copy of the applicable section of City Code is attached for the Council's review. <br />Alternatives <br />Alternative #1 - Direct Staff to develop an ordinance based on the Planning Commission Recommendation to leave <br />limits on hours of construction to 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except that the City may require 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. <br />through a Development Agreement as part of the initial subdivision review. This puts the burden on the City to <br />negotiate reduced construction hours. <br />Alternative #2 - Direct Staff to develop an ordinance that limits hours of construction to 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., <br />except that the City may allow an extension to 10:00 p.m. if requested by the Developer and there is not significant <br />public objection. This puts the burden on the Developer to negotiate extended construction hours. This would shift <br />the burden from the City to the Developer when compared to Alternative #1. <br />Alternative #3 - Direct Staff to not make any changes to existing City Code. <br />Funding Source: <br />This case is being handled as part of normal Staff duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the policy topic at their August 6, 2015 Regular Meeting.
