SPECIAL MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD
February 21, 197~

Thd meeting was called to order by the Board Chairman, Mr. Murphy,
at 1:OO p.m. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Reimann,
Mr. Goodrich and Mr. Sha.

Mr. Goodrich and Mr. Sha will be present at the Minnesota Mu-
nicipal Commission annexation hearing on Monday, February 25th
in the Commissioners Room of Anoka City Hall at 10:OO a.m. Mr.
Goodrich said he did not see the point of this hearing. Every-
thing was to have been finished at the December 12th hearing on
the annexation issue.

Mr. Sba discussed the letter the Township had received from the

Metropolitan Sewer Board with the Town Board. He stated he would
do the plans required by the Sewer Board for the Township for the
sum of not over $1,000.00. He would have it completed within 90
days. After this plan has been submitted to the Sewer Board, it
can be amended at any time. He will submit several plans and
then he said the Town Board should sit down with the Planning and
Zoning Commission and pick the one they wish to turn in to the
Metropolitan Sewer Board. This is only for sanitary sewers. We
will ask the engineering firm to state definitely that this is
a plan which is only for the future and is not intended to be
used. Mr. Cox moved that we hire Consulting Engineers Diversified
Inc. to prepare a comprehensive sewer plan for our Township to be
presented to the Metropolitan Sewer Board per their request at a
cost for the plans not to exceed $1,000.00. Seconded by Mr. Hop-
perstad. Motion carried.

Mr. Murphy said he would talk to Mr. Erling Johnson about the
name of our new elementary school.

Mr. Murphy talked to Mr. Petty about a road going around the new
elementary school for the use of our patrol car.

We will meet with the School Board next Monday to discuss a lease
for park land on the site of the new elementary school. Mr. Gale
Gorham will supply rafters for a pool at the new school or an in-
side skating rink. The school would be asked to maintain and
service it.

The Planning and Zoning Commission was asked to look for a site
for a pool.

They will also ask the School Board to obtain another site for
a school at today' prices.

Mr. Sba will look at the road problem at Azurite St. and Nowthen
Blvd.

Meeting adjourned at 1:~5 p.m.

R~aspec.tf_~_y~_submitted,
