- 3 - T.B.7-16-73 <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich will also prepare an ordinance to take care of small <br />subdividing for the future. <br /> <br />We should hear something on the incorporation hearing in the next <br />month. <br /> <br />Mr. Mike Auspos, the constable, stated there has been some activity <br />at DeZiels. There was a fight in the parking lot. There seem to <br />be four or five families that just do not get along in the commun- <br />ity. There have also been complaints on drunken driving. We take <br />over as of August 1st on prosecution of misdemeanors. 90% are <br />guilty pleas. Mike Auspos is putting in quite a bit of time and <br />should be recompensed for it. He will be attending a crime preven- <br />tion meeting in Alexandria. The state is discussing the use of Op- <br />eration Identification throughout the state. We will have to put <br />in some speed signs on County Roads. Mike Auspos was requested to <br />make up a list of roads that will need speed signs. The state law <br />is 30 miles per hour in urban areas. Mike has a ticket book from <br />the new court system. Mr. Goodrich will check on the regulations <br />for hiring a part time policeman. <br /> <br />Mr. Larsen had attended the School Board meeting for the Town Board. <br />He came back stating the School Board wanted to know about an all <br />weather road for one of the school sites proposed. They also want <br />to know how much space the Township would want in this new school <br />building. <br /> <br />Discussion on the ~O,OOO square feet for a residential lot in 4-1 <br />with regard to inclusive or exclusive of the road. Corner lots <br />would still have to be 10 feet wider. Mr. Hopperstad moved that we <br />change the lot size in ~-1 in Ordinance No. 73-9, Section 9 to one <br />acre to the center of the road except where road width is increased <br />beyond 66 feet in view of the fact that we have so many plats al- <br />ready %hat are one acre to the center of the road and the fact that <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission wants to keep to one acre lots <br />in zone r-1. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. Two were for <br />it and one against it. <br /> <br />In discussing the zoning map it was suggested we try to concentrate <br />on one or two trails through the Township, othe~vise we %~11 have <br />a lot of land that will be off the tax rolls and not taken care of. <br />They hope to meet with the County Commissioners in the near future <br />to discuss roads, bridges, and future planning for the Tov~ship. <br /> <br />Mr. ttopperstad moved we pay the bills as listed. <br />Cox. Fields and <br />Mr. Lundheim requesting that the roads where gravel surfacing is <br />being done have water put on every day until they are through with <br />this work because of the dry spell, the dust situation is unbearable. <br />They do not want this postponed until the blacktopping is done. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved the meetin.g be adjourned.
