7.02: Consider Adopting Resolution #15-08-191 Approving Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment and Introduce Ordinance #15-14 Approving a Zoning Amendment for <br />14100 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW; Case of Life Fitness <br />Mayor Strommen stated that she would be recusing herself from this discussion because her <br />husband does work for Life Fitness and while she does not believe herself to have a conflict of <br />interest she would like to avoid that perception. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to <br />adopt Resolution #15-08-191 approving a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and introduce <br />Ordinance #15-14 approving a Zoning Amendment for 1411 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW. <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution #15- <br />08-191 Adopting Findings, Approving a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Change a Land Use <br />Designation from Places to Shop to Places to Work and Authorizing City Staff to Submit an <br />Application to the Metropolitan Council for an Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and to <br />introduce Ordinance #15-14 an Ordinance Amending Section 117-90 "Map" of Chapter 117 of the <br />City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Further discussion: Acting Mayor LeTourneau stated that he appreciates the expansion of the <br />business noting that this would also be an improvement to a blighted site. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Riley, Johns, Kuzma, LeTourneau, and Williams. <br />Voting No: None. Abstained: Mayor Strommen. Absent: Councilmember Shryock. <br />
