COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Consider Adopting Ordinance #15-10 Vacating Permanent Road Easement for <br />Ridgepoint <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to <br />adopt Ordinance #15-10 formally vacating an existing road easement in the project known as <br />Ridgepoint. <br />Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember Williams, to waive the Charter <br />requirement that the ordinance be read aloud and adopt Ordinance #15-10 Vacating an Easement <br />for Drainage and Utility Purposes in the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br />Councilmember Riley aye <br />Councilmember Shryock absent <br />Councilmember Williams aye <br />Councilmember LeTourneau aye <br />Councilmember Kuzma aye <br />Councilmember Johns aye <br />Mayor Strommen aye <br />Motion carried. <br />7.02: Consider Adopting Resolution #15-08-191 Approving Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment and Introduce Ordinance #15-14 Approving a Zoning Amendment for <br />14100 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW; Case of Life Fitness <br />Mayor Strommen stated that she would be recusing herself from this discussion because her <br />husband does work for Life Fitness and while she does not believe herself to have a conflict of <br />interest she would like to avoid that perception. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to <br />adopt Resolution #15-08-191 approving a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and introduce <br />Ordinance #15-14 approving a Zoning Amendment for 1411 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW. <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution #15- <br />08-191 Adopting Findings, Approving a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Change a Land <br />Use Designation from Places to Shop to Places to Work and Authorizing City Staff to Submit an <br />Application to the Metropolitan Council for an Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and to <br />City Council / August 25, 2015 <br />Page 6 of 14 <br />
