-2-

Voter Registration: Mr. Good~ich stated the Clerk can cancel out
the old address for the residents who are already registered and
put in their new address so it will not be necessary for the
people already registered to re-register. We will need a regis-
tration period for new people in the Township to register. We
must have a minimum of three days that will be open for fut~u~.e
registration. These day~ will,be e_venin~ o£ ~,d~,~.~ay,
y~'~~'amd ~ ~ Saturday,~~~~~~,-~-~-~-~-~-~ The Clerk
will take the necessary steps to publish this information in the
newspaper.

Mr. Scarborough moved the legal newspaper for Ramsey Town for the
coming year will be the ABC Newspaper (Anoka Union). Seconded by
Mr. Murphy.

We have received a complaint on a junk yard being started at the
Teslow Auto Sales on Hy. lC. Mr. Sca~borough moved the attorney,
Mr. Goodrich, write a letter advising Mr. Teslow that Junk yards
are not permitted in Ramsey Township without a ~ ecial use permit.
Seconded by ~. Murphy. Mr. Scarborough suggested the cars in
question on the Teslow property be checked out For licenses accord-
ing to the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission
adopted by the Town Board.

A complaint has been received that a trailer house is being
occupied on private land in the Township. At this time there
are no temporary trailer house permits out on issue. The state
code requires that if any trailer is Being lived in it must meet
the local building code tn all respects. The Building Inspector
will check this out.

Jerry Bauer Building Permit: Mr. Bauer was issued a building per-
mit for a single dwelling. It seems there are two electricl
systems going into the house. If this is going to be a double
dwelling Mr. Bauer will have to obtain a new permit because the
permit he has is invalid for a double dwelling. The Clerk will
write Mr. Bauer a letter and tell him his permit was for a single
dwelling and that if he plan~s on a double dwelling he will have
to get a new permit and make the necessary changes. He will get
credit for the money he has spent on the first permit.

The February meeting will fall on February 21st, which this year
is a legal holiday. Mr. Scarborough moved the next meeting will
be held on February 22nd. Tuesday. Seconded by Mr. Murphy.

The Annual Meeting will be held on March 13th. We are in receipt
of a letter from the State Tax Commission suggesting an increase
of 10% in taxes for residen~al and 20% on farm land.

We will have $~9,000 coming into the Township in revenue for this
year instead of $29,000. It was suggested we increase our reserve
for a new town hall and a new road grader. One thing we should
be thinking about is law enforcement and a five day office where
people can get information.
